About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting or business graduate looking to build a career in corporate accounting. The ideal candidate will support a variety of accounting and finance functions while gaining exposure to multiple areas of the finance organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Retrieve, review, validate, and electronically organize corporate credit card receipts and supporting documentation.
- Maintain corporate credit card accounts and assist with expense-related inquiries.
- Cross-train to provide backup support for the Cash Application function, including posting customer payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Process customer invoices and collect payments through various customer portals.
- Assist with accounts receivable reconciliations and investigate customer account discrepancies.
- Support the Accounts Payable team by entering and processing vendor invoices as needed.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Assist the Tax department with monthly tax filings, audit requests, and supporting documentation.
- Scan, file, and maintain financial records for internal and external audit purposes.
- Organize and distribute incoming finance-related mail and documentation.
- Support other departments with financial recordkeeping and administrative accounting tasks.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Finance Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Internship or prior accounting experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data entry and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Pay
$24/hour. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
