Entry Level Abrasives Operator (Cell Operator)

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain production schedules by setting up and operating production equipment.
- Manufacture honing stones and related components according to established procedures, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Operate presses to fabricate stones, then clean and inspect each part to ensure it meets strict dimensional and cosmetic standards.
- Report any quality issues to the lead and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare finished components for shipment, mark parts and packing lists with required information, and communicate tooling or supply needs to the Cell Leader.
- Accurately record production data, complete necessary documentation, and follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Participate in cross-training and other assigned duties.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfortable working with close tolerances of ±0.005 and using precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills and measurement skills.
- Close vision and the ability to distinguish colors necessary for quality inspection.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools or production equipment and precision quality tools (preferred but not required).
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience necessary. On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and handling materials throughout the shift.
- Occasionally lift 25-50 pounds, rarely lift more than 50 pounds.
- Move throughout large work areas and work with various tools and equipment.
