About the role
Entry Control Monitors perform entry control actions at Offutt Air Force Base, monitoring breached areas of designated perimeters or fences on non-secured sites, locations, or entry control points. The role ensures only authorized personnel gain entry to designated construction sites and secured zones by conducting personnel credential checks in accordance with government procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personnel and/or vehicle inspections at designated locations.
- Maintain logs of inspected vehicles and draft accurate reports summarizing inspection results.
- Conduct building and area checks, visually inspecting facility conditions.
- Report security issues such as unsecured items, non-functioning lighting, or potential violations and annotate findings on shift logs.
- Notify emergency services in the event of a first aid incident, assist first responders in accessing the site, and aid in personnel evacuations as needed.
- Detain individuals using manual verbal manipulation techniques while awaiting Security Forces, without exceeding authorized use-of-force guidelines.
- Construct and write clear, concise, and detailed reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- State-issued driver’s license.
- Trained or able to be trained in basic First Aid/CPR/AED.
- No current or pending criminal charges; no misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, dishonesty, assault, battery, or felony convictions.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capable of constructing and writing clear, detailed reports.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to submit to periodic drug tests at the request of the government.
- Undergo a physical examination to determine fitness for duty.
- Physically able to perform frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, and occasional running or sprinting.
