About the Role

Under the direction of the Assistant Production Manager, the incumbent assists in the operational functions of the Hard Rock Entertainment Department. This includes set up and tear down of events property-wide, fabrication, assembly, and disassembly of all equipment, scenery, wardroes, instruments, and tools necessary for professional shows and performances. The role also involves assisting in day-to-day operations to ensure the department functions properly.

Responsibilities

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Rockford for gaming entertainment; builds and retains guest relations and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Follows Production policies and procedures related to the entertainment department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Assists in implementing event operating plans for Hard Rock Live.
  • Assembles and disassembles trusses for lighting shows, soft goods, scenery, drops, curtains, etc.
  • Assembles sets and stages, including related light and sound components.
  • Loads in equipment, instruments, wardrobe, and tools prior to shows and loads out following performances.
  • Repairs and maintains lighting, sound, fly systems, drops, soft goods, stage and stage floor, and musical instruments to avoid performance delays or cancellations.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying managers of concerns.

  • Maintains positive public and employee relations at all times.
  • Ensures a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.
  • Attends seminars as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or trade school certificate and a minimum of three (3) years of event/concert production experience performing similar duties, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.

Skills

  • Strong communication and listening skills, with excellent speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in event/concert production.
  • Ability to read and understand Hard Rock Northern Indiana policies and procedures, as well as pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, requiring high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Pay

Pay Range: $2 - $50 per hour.
