Entertainment Specialist

About the role

The Entertainment Ambassador creates an engaging environment for guests by leading interactive activities and entertainment at a family-oriented resort.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests through hands-on activities like arts and crafts, games, and branded experiences such as Storytime and Dance Parties.
• Perform character appearances, learn signature moves, and guide characters during events, ensuring adherence to standards without speaking as characters.
• Manage costume care and assist with seasonal events, community appearances, and promotional activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and support inventory management for activities and materials.
• Engage audiences through public performances, support media and charity events, and represent the brand positively.

Qualifications

• Comfort with performing, dancing, and speaking in front of large groups.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in entertainment, dance, or working with children is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to interpret safety and operational procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, wear character costumes, and perform in hot/humid environments.
• Flexibility for scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
