Information TechnologyFull-time

The team you will be joining is a PE-backed company with a 30+ year history of delivering technology solutions in the retail and QSR space. The organization is actively pursuing acquisitions that will grow employee headcount from 80 to 300, led by a strong leadership team with a proven track record of delivering enterprise growth.

Location

Company headquarters is in Greenville, SC, and the role operates on-site. Strong candidates in the Southeast who are able to travel will be considered.

About the role

  • Opportunity to take ownership of the enterprise technology environment and help shape how technology supports growth.
  • Responsibility for the administration and long-term evolution of ERP platforms, database environment, and broader business applications and data ecosystem.
  • Partnership with the COO and operational leaders to identify opportunities where AI tools, modern reporting, and improved software can drive measurable business value.
  • Hands-on, builder role with a clear path to increased scope and leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and internal subject matter expert for both SAP (with underlying SQL Server database) and Acumatica. Manage user access, configurations, integrations, customizations, patches, and upgrades across both platforms.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and warehouse/site teams to translate business needs into ERP workflows and improvements.
  • Develop a roadmap for harmonizing or consolidating ERP platforms over time as the company scales through acquisition.
  • Lead ERP-related workstreams during M&A integration, including data migration, user onboarding, and process alignment.
  • Design, build, and maintain operational and executive reporting using Power BI (or recommend and implement a better-fit alternative).
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot AI tools and automation opportunities that improve productivity, reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Translate emerging technology into practical, ROI-justified recommendations for the leadership team.
  • Establish governance for business applications and data: application-level access controls, change control, data quality, vendor management, and documentation.
  • Help build out the applications and data function as the company grows—defining processes, recommending future hires, and supporting the eventual CIO/CTO.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT, business systems, or ERP administration roles.
  • Hands-on administrative experience with SAP (SAP B1 preferred but not required).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, performance, backups, and security.
  • Demonstrated experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI (or comparable BI tool).
  • Exposure to AI/automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, RPA platforms, LLM-based workflows).
  • Experience with integration tooling (APIs, middleware, iPaaS platforms).
  • Experience supporting users and systems across multiple physical locations.
  • Experience supporting an organization through acquisitions, system consolidations, or ERP migrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning outcomes in a lean environment without a large IT team to lean on.
  • Open to travel as needed.
