About the role
We are seeking a System Administrator to be part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative. The project will develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project. This position may allow for partial telework.
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Responsibilities
- Server Certificate life cycle management
- Monitoring VM health status
- Updating software on VMs (manually and through YUM repos)
- Ensuring VMs satisfy latest security requirements set by the Enterprise
- Monitoring and managing production Linux VMs – stand-alone VMs and those integrated in a Kubernetes cluster – across multiple hosting platforms
- Working with customers and development team to support product needs including trivial changes (e.g., VM name changes) to significant efforts (e.g., new cluster builds)
- Performing DevOps tasks including running and maintaining Ansible playbooks to push out changes to VMs
- Monitoring Kubernetes clusters through Rancher or kubectl commands to ensure cluster nodes and pods are healthy and running smoothly
Requirements
- Fifteen (15) years experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree)
Skills
Required
- Strong Linux skills including troubleshooting
- Ansible experience or exposure
- Experience managing and securing VMs (STE/STN)
- Active Security+ Certification
Desired
- CentOS or RHEL Experience
- PKI Certificate/Server Certificate Setup
- Kubernetes experience
- AWS Experience (e.g., EC2, RDS, etc.)
- OpenStack Exposure
- VMWare Exposure
- Team player but can work on tasks independently
- Git Experience – push, pull, commit changes to a repo

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $215,000 - $260,000, depending on education and years of experience.
