Enterprise Sourcing Manager - Indirect Procurement
About the role
The Enterprise Sourcing Manager within T-Mobile’s Indirect Procurement organization is a strategic partner responsible for handling and optimizing spend across multiple indirect categories. This role leads end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities—from category strategy development and RFP execution through contract negotiation and execution—ensuring T-Mobile secures best-in-class suppliers and terms that support our workforce and culture goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies for Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, and Relay & Accessibility that align with T-Mobile’s business objectives and HR priorities.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including requirements gathering, RFP/RFI development, proposal evaluation, supplier selection, and contract negotiation to deliver optimal value and terms.
- Negotiate and handle long-term supplier contracts, ensuring favorable commercial terms, SLAs, and compliance with T-Mobile’s legal and risk requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular business reviews, performance score-carding, and proactive issue resolution to drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI-powered procurement tools, spend analytics, and market intelligence to generate insights, identify savings opportunities, and support data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies and supplier engagements meet operational and compliance needs.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience, OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
- Acceptable areas of study include Supply Chain, Business, HR, or related field (Required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-7 years - Strategic sourcing and contracting across professional services or HR/People categories (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation, or similar).
- 4–7 years - Category strategy development, including spend analysis, market benchmarking, RFP/RFI management, and supplier selection.
- 4–7 years - Contract negotiation and lifecycle management in a corporate procurement environment.
- 2–4 years - Supplier relationship management and performance management, including QBRs and score-carding.
- 1–3 years - Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., generative AI assistants, spend analytics platforms, contract intelligence tools) to improve sourcing outcomes.
Skills and Abilities
- Strategic Sourcing - Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to category-specific market dynamics and business requirements.
- Negotiation - Expertise in negotiating commercial terms, SLAs, and contract structures with suppliers to deliver favorable outcomes for T-Mobile.
- Contracting - Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts including MSAs, SOWs, and amendment processes.
- Supplier Relationship Management - Skill in developing supplier partnerships, conducting performance reviews, and driving continuous improvement.
- Category Strategy Development - Ability to analyze spend, market conditions, and stakeholder needs to build multi-year category strategies.
- AI Tool Proficiency - Experience using AI-powered tools (generative AI, contract analytics, spend intelligence) to enhance sourcing efficiency and decision quality.
- Financial & Spend Analysis - Ability to analyze spend data, model scenarios, and quantify savings and value delivery.
- Stakeholder Management - Skilled at building trust-based relationships with HR and business partners to align sourcing activity with functional priorities.
- Business Acumen - Understanding of HR category dynamics, talent market trends, and how procurement drives workforce strategy outcomes.
- Communication - Ability to clearly communicate sourcing strategies, recommendations, and results to stakeholders at all levels.
- Project Management - Capability to handle concurrent sourcing projects with competing priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree with relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
- 4-7 years of strategic sourcing and contracting experience, preferably in HR/People categories.
- 4-7 years of category strategy development experience, including spend analysis, market benchmarking, RFP/RFI management, and supplier selection.
- 2-4 years of supplier relationship management and performance management experience, including QBRs and score-carding.
- 1-3 years of experience using AI-powered tools to improve sourcing outcomes.
Pay and Benefits
The base salary for this role varies by location and reflects local market rates. The corporate bonus target is 15%. Employees are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
