Who We Need
Brightwell is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Executive to scale up our cross-border payments business with financial institutions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust sales strategies, generating and nurturing leads, building a high-quality pipeline, and successfully closing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales plans to target financial institutions.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and implementation teams to ensure alignment and success.
- Remain current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Represent Brightwell at industry events and conferences.
- Deliver agreed-upon new clients and contract renewals each year
- Exhibit patience with long sales cycles and continue to nurture the clients throughout this process.
Location & Work Flexibility
Brightwell is headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Candidates based in the Atlanta area will work in a hybrid capacity, with 1–2 days per week in our office located at the Battery. For exceptional candidates outside of Atlanta, this role can be fully remote, with occasional travel to the office as needed. (Eligible states of residence: CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, ME, NC, TX, VA)
What You’ll Do
- Work with the Chief Revenue Officer to develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve targeted revenue growth.
- Through a combination of warm leads and market research, identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand Brightwell’s client base and market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic and channel partners, and industry influencers to drive sales.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop effective sales collateral, content, and sales campaigns to support sales activities.
- Provide accurate sales reports, analysis, and forecasts to senior management to support decision making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field. MBA is preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of business development experience in payments, preferably within a bank.
- 5+ years of cross border payments experience – either in remittances or funds transfer.
- Experience working successfully using a sales methodology (Challenger, NEAT, Sandler, etc.) and the ability to speak to your results.
- Demonstrated ability to sell structured deals and manage complex negotiations.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
- Proven pipeline management and closing skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking – you’re strong on both IQ and EQ, as adept at reading data for insights as you are at reading clients for feedback.
- Established comfort level in working with all levels of management, including C-suite
- Travel up to 30%
