Enterprise Risk Financial Analyst
What You’ll Do
- Aid in developing, implementing, and maintaining the credit union’s risk framework, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating various financial risks faced by the organization, such as market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, model risk, capital risk, price risk, and regulatory and controls.
- Monitor and measure key risk indicators to identify emerging risks and assess the organization's overall risk exposure.
- Analyze and model potential risks using quantitative and qualitative techniques, including stress testing, scenario analysis, and simulations for key risks tied to financial transactions, cashflow, assets and liability management, and investments.
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies, such as hedging, diversification, insurance, and contingency planning.
- Communicate and address risk-related issues with various stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and external parties.
- Support the assessment of all models used by the Credit Union and monitor, execute, and maintain model validations to ensure timely reviews, performance accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc Financial Risk reports and presentations for senior leadership and board committees.
- Stay updated with applicable regulations and ensure the organization's risk management practices align with regulatory requirements.
- Continuously monitor industry developments, best practices, and emerging risk management techniques to enhance the organization's risk management capabilities.
Assets You Will Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- 1-3 years' experience in a financial institution with a related area of focus, such as Financial Risk Management, Stress Testing, Model Risk, Finance, or Accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Preferrably experience in Python, SQL, R, and/or C++.
Pay
The estimated salary range is $31.93 to $38.32 per hour.
