About the role
The Program Governance Manager oversees the implementation and adherence to policies and standards across an organization's projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Engages business stakeholders to understand needs, align governance practices, and ensure participation in program activities.
- Develops and updates policies and procedures related to project and program management, change management, and other relevant areas.
- Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks within the program governance framework.
- Tracks key performance indicators, measures the effectiveness of governance processes, and reports program status to stakeholders.
- Evaluates and improves governance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develops and implements change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Program Management, PMO, Program Governance, or related disciplines, with demonstrated experience establishing, managing, and enforcing governance processes, program controls, and reporting standards across complex initiatives.
- Experience developing and implementing governance tools, templates, frameworks, and operating procedures.
- Experience managing Agile and program delivery methodologies, including portfolio reporting, KPI tracking, risk and issue management, and executive-level communications for cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
- University degree preferred.
- 7+ years of enterprise-level Program Governance, PMO, or Transformation Office experience, including designing governance frameworks (preferred).
- Advanced experience building scalable governance artifacts, such as program dashboards, portfolio scorecards, reporting frameworks, resource planning tools, etc. (preferred).
- Strong Agile Program Management and reporting expertise, with experience leading governance for large-scale portfolios (preferred).
- PMP certification highly preferred.
Role-specific work experience: 5+ years required; 7+ years preferred.

$141,800 - $191,800
