Enterprise Network Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support our campus and cloud networks. You'll have the opportunity to evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure. Our global network environment is comprised of a variety of mainstream technologies from Cisco and other vendors. You'll investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms, configure firewall rules, and design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity. With an increased focus on infrastructure as code for deployments, you'll also leverage technologies like Terraform and Ansible. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll be an expert who helps keep us up and running as a company so that we can help some of the nation's largest healthcare organizations improve patient care.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks
- Evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure
- Investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms
- Configure firewall rules
- Design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity
- Leverage infrastructure as code technologies like Terraform and Ansible
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A history of academic and professional success
- Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points, and/or UPSes
- Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Skills
- Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware preferred
- Up-to-date CCNA or CCNP certification helpful

Schedule
This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.
