About the role

We are seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support our campus and cloud networks. You'll have the opportunity to evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure. Our global network environment is comprised of a variety of mainstream technologies from Cisco and other vendors. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll be an expert who helps keep us up and running as a company so that we can help some of the nation's largest healthcare organizations improve patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks
  • Investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms
  • Configure firewall rules
  • Design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity
  • Leverage infrastructure as code technologies like Terraform and Ansible for deployments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A history of academic and professional success
  • Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points, and/or UPSes
  • Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

  • Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware
  • Up-to-date CCNA or CCNP certification

Location

This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.
