Enterprise Inside Sales Representative (Req #1373)
About the role
As an Enterprise Inside Sales Rep (ISR) at ePlus, you will be part of a sales team focused on acquiring, managing, and growing ePlus customer relationships while maximizing margin dollars. You will proactively provide hardware, software, and services solutions to customers, fostering existing relationships and developing new strategic ones to optimize their IT infrastructures. Your work will involve delivering world-class IT products, professional services, flexible lease financing, proprietary software, and patented ePlus business methods.
Responsibilities
- Research and quote sales opportunities for product and service sales, using all available resources to satisfy customer requirements while maintaining advantageous profit margins.
- Uplift sales opportunities with warranties, service offerings, accessories, and supplies.
- Manage Run Rate Business, including updating the pipeline, quoting, ordering, open order management, and post-order support.
- Manage CRM entries, including customer opportunities, engineering requests, and contract requests.
- Coordinate with engineering teams for bill-of-material (BOM) design and validation.
- Manage deal registration and negotiation of pricing.
- Proactively engage customers to grow relationships, develop strategies, and acquire new business.
- Accurately execute and manage customer orders, ensuring successful delivery within customer expectations.
- Utilize customer portals for proposal requests, PO receipt confirmations, and shipping information management.
- Compile mandatory contract reports.
- Proactively communicate with operations and procurement staff of key accounts to gauge satisfaction and compliance with customer requirements; document and manage performance results.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of key products and services to create configurations for major OEMs.
- Stay current on programs, promotions, and campaigns from major vendor suppliers to sell products and services at the best possible margin.
- Proactively manage client issue resolution at the customer and supplier levels while maintaining professionalism in all communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or AA with 5 years of professional experience (preferred).
- 5+ years in the IT industry.
- 7+ years of sales, business development, or customer service experience.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for building long-lasting business relationships.
- Solid understanding of U.S. industries and the drivers of IT demands within them.
- Ability to identify unique business opportunities within regional market segments.
- Strong knowledge of IT solutions, including data centers, servers, information networks, storage devices, and communications equipment.
- Superior communication and phone skills to facilitate complex IT conversations and close sales.
- Ability to prioritize and record daily milestone sales activity and consistently achieve quota for outbound calls, completions, conversions, demos, and monthly deal closures.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite and computer application skills.
Skills
- Proficient in managing CRM systems and customer portals.
- Experience with bill-of-material (BOM) design and validation.
- Strong negotiation and deal registration skills.
- Ability to compile and manage contract reports.
- Knowledge of major OEM configurations and vendor promotions.
- Exceptional issue resolution and customer relationship management.
Pay
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $55,000 to $75,000 annually. Base pay may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include commissions, discretionary bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off (e.g., vacation, sick time, parental leave).
