Enterprise Data Center Manager
About the role
The Enterprise Data Center Manager oversees the physical and digital operations of mission-critical IT facilities, ensuring 24/7 uptime, managing budgets and staff, maintaining power and cooling systems, and directing hardware lifecycle tasks to support high availability and business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee servers, storage, and network hardware installations.
- Monitor power distribution, HVAC/cooling efficiency, backup generators, and physical plant health.
- Maintain strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), manage incident responses, and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Supervise, hire, and mentor shift technicians and administrative staff.
- Coordinate external contractors, negotiate service contracts, and track operational spending.
- Enforce physical security policies and meet regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 5–10 years of data center operations or facilities leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of mechanical/electrical (MEP) infrastructure, data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools, and server architecture.
- Proficiency in incident management, change management, capacity planning, and budget forecasting.
Professional credentials such as PMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma are desirable but not required.
This role may involve physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing, as well as wearing uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
