Enterprise Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing construction activities including design, permitting, buildout, and maintenance. This role serves as a leader for Construction personnel, such as Fiber Splicers and Construction Technicians, and ensures overall compliance with industry standards. The position requires self-motivation and strong project coordination experience to contribute across various cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates the work of assigned staff.
• Oversees the construction, maintenance, replacement, and installation of buried cable and equipment.
• Assigns work, checks quality, answers questions, handles personnel issues, and monitors workflow for all construction technicians to ensure proper operations.
• Ensures public safety precautions, equipment, and procedures are implemented by performing site inspections.
• Provides instruction and training to new and existing crew members.
• Oversees the repair and maintenance of all construction equipment and vehicles; orders replacement parts as necessary.
• Maintains accurate inventory records of construction supplies and equipment.
• Notifies record and mapping departments of system updates.
• Maintains vehicles, keeping them clean and in proper working order.
• Uses tools and work equipment, including hoisting, digging, and trenching equipment.
• Ensures all tools and equipment are in good working order, maintained, and stored properly; reports defective tools and equipment for repair.
• Uses protective equipment and follows safety practices; participates in all safety training meetings.
• Travels to customer sites, project areas, business-related events, and other Ritter Communications locations.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent plus three years of construction work experience and/or demonstrated proficiency equal to job knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
• One year in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
