About the role

At the heart of Slalom’s Enterprise Capability is a bold ambition: to design and deliver intelligent, human-centered business applications that empower organizations to serve their customers with acceleration, agility, precision, and purpose. We partner with leading platforms—Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe, Anaplan, Workday, Contentful, Boomi, Workato and more—to build scalable, end-to-end solutions that unify data, streamline operations, and unlock actionable insights.

You'll join Slalom's global team of strategists, researchers, designers, and technologists dedicated to achieving strategic goals, investing in the future, and driving innovation. Your role will involve working with diverse teams to develop modern, composable digital experiences using cutting-edge technologies and API-first platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build semantic, accessible, modular components that ensure performance and scalability.
  • Develop modern digital experiences using headless CMS platforms like Contentful, Sanity, ContentStack, Storyblok, and Sitecore AI.
  • Use platforms like Vercel to manage and deploy applications efficiently, focusing on performance and speed.
  • Automate front-end infrastructure, integrate with back-end APIs, and streamline design systems usage across multiple brands and channels.
  • Collaborate with project managers, digital strategists, designers, and researchers to craft bespoke digital experiences using modern composable architectures.
  • Build API routes, wire up databases, configure auth flows, set up CI/CD, and debug production issues.
  • Define and implement testing strategies for React/Next.js applications using tools like Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library.
  • Consume component libraries and design systems (e.g., Figma, Storybook) to ensure consistency across brands and channels.
  • Optimize Core Web Vitals, image optimization, code splitting, and caching strategies to deliver fast, high-quality user experiences.
  • Simplify complex technical challenges for technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complexity into simplicity.
  • Balance technical constraints with business opportunities, providing solutions that address human-centered and technical problems.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative environment where multidisciplinary teams thrive, working within agile processes using tools such as JIRA.
  • Embrace conflict constructively, negotiate confidently, and adjust your approach when new information arises.
  • Partner with clients to understand their unique business needs, providing tailored digital solutions that enhance user experiences and business outcomes.
  • Guide clients through platform selection, migration strategies, and composable architecture adoption.
  • Leverage AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot) to generate, refactor, and debug code; write tests and documentation; and identify where AI accelerates delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in semantic, responsive, and accessible front-end code, modern JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js, React, or Vue.js, and a solid understanding of CSS.
  • Deep experience with API-first, headless Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) like CMS, DAM, Personalization, CDP, and integrating with SaaS APIs and API gateways.
  • Experience with unit testing tools like Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library.
  • Experience consuming component libraries and design systems (e.g., Figma, Storybook).
  • Understanding of Core Web Vitals, image optimization, code splitting, and caching strategies.
  • Comfortable with Git workflows and deployment automation in platforms like Vercel or Netlify.
  • Ability to make complex technical challenges understandable for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in balancing technical constraints with business opportunities.
  • Strong team collaboration skills within agile processes using tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Customer-centric approach to providing tailored digital solutions.
  • Strategic leadership in guiding clients through platform selection, migration strategies, and composable architecture adoption.
  • Adaptability and growth mindset to embrace shifting technical landscapes and continuous learning.
  • Experience leveraging AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot) as a core part of your workflow.
