Enterprise Architecture Manager
About the role
A banking client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Manager to provide strategic leadership across enterprise architecture domains including infrastructure, cloud, data, analytics, and enterprise platforms. This organization is focused on modernizing its technology landscape while enabling scalable, secure, and innovative business solutions across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of enterprise architects supporting strategic business and technology initiatives.
Define and communicate enterprise architecture standards, principles, and strategic guidance.
Build and maintain a roadmap of architecture initiatives aligned with enterprise priorities and transformation goals.
Partner with leadership teams to define long-term technology strategy and modernization efforts.
Collaborate across architecture and engineering teams to ensure solutions are integrated, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Assist in reviewing and approving architecture designs for critical technology delivery initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support evolving business and operating models.
Develop strategic guidance for enterprise projects spanning infrastructure, cloud, analytics, and enterprise applications.
Consult with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to align architecture decisions with business objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor across a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions.
Partner with technology delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of enterprise architecture strategies.
Support conflict resolution, risk mitigation, and strategic decision-making across enterprise initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development and engineering teams.
Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and best practices.
Lead architecture evaluation, design, and analysis efforts across enterprise technology domains.
Support governance processes related to enterprise architecture reviews and approvals.
Mentor and develop architecture team members to support growth and capability development.
Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning across the architecture organization.
Drive operational excellence and accountability within the enterprise architecture function.
Support organizational change management and strategic transformation initiatives.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience. Master’s degree in Technology, Information Systems, or Business preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or related technology leadership roles. 3+ years of experience leading architecture teams or enterprise technology initiatives. Experience working within large enterprise environments with complex technology ecosystems. Financial services or highly regulated industry experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Deep expertise across: Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Data & Analytics Architecture, Enterprise Application Architecture. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models, and best practices. Experience evaluating emerging technologies and enterprise modernization strategies. Ability to guide enterprise-scale solution architecture decisions across multiple domains. Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong strategic thinking and organizational influence capabilities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team development experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading enterprise architecture functions within large financial services organizations. Knowledge of banking technology trends, modernization initiatives, and regulatory considerations. Experience building enterprise technology roadmaps and strategic transformation plans. Familiarity with enterprise cloud transformation and large-scale modernization programs. Strong understanding of risk management, governance, and enterprise operational processes.
