About the role
Huntington Ingalls Industries: Mission Technologies Division is actively searching for a Highly skilled enterprise architect to support the ongoing mission of AFRL/IZX division. The Enterprise Architect (EA) plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business information. This person aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Architecture Development: Design, document, and maintain architecture roadmaps, models, and representations that align with organizational goals and strategies.
- Cataloging and Documentation: Ensure comprehensive cataloging and documentation of architecture initiatives, capabilities, workflows, and standard components to support business and technology operations.
- Compliance and Governance: Coordinate and enforce adherence to architectural standards, policies, and guidelines across the organization to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop architectural solutions that drive organizational efficiency and innovation.
- Communication and Training: Communicate architectural strategies, initiatives, and frameworks effectively to key stakeholders and provide training or guidance as necessary.
- Framework Maintenance: Continuously maintain and refine architecture models, frameworks, and representations to adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes.
Qualifications
- Skills and Qualifications:
- A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
- The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
- The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
- Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business
- The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
- Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
- Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Level 3 : 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Level 4 : 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Pay
Level 3 salary range : $98,280.00 - $182,520.00
Level 4 salary range : $116,771.00 - $216,861.00
