About the role
The IT Enterprise Architect position supports the IT business mission of a large-scale government enterprise's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in organization processes and procedures specific to PMI, ITIL, CISSP, SDLC, Agile, ISSO, Six Sigma, and CMMI.
Responsibilities
- Collect information for strategic business mission planning and IT investment
- Work with organizational leaders to understand and align with strategic goals
- Provide a holistic view of the enterprise from different perspectives, considering budget constraints
- Offer technical engineering practices recommendations, advice, and enhancements from integration engagements
- Communicate effectively with system owners, planners, designers, developers, and subcontractors
- Provide technical expertise in Windows Desktop applications, remote access, MS Windows 7, SQL Server, VMware, EMC, SAN storage, Cloud as a service, Broadworks, Polycomm, BlackBerry, Apple iOS, information security, wireless technologies, system networking, etc.
- Utilize ITIL, project management (PMI), Agile, Configuration and Change controls
- Provide technical engineering practices recommendations, advice, and enhancements from integration engagements of prior successful systems integrations
Requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal and professional maturity
- Senior-level IT competency
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
- Experience and knowledge in organization processes and procedures specific to PMI, ITIL, CISSP, SDLC, Agile, ISSO, Six Sigma, and CMMI
- Knowledge and experience in Windows Desktop applications, remote access, MS Windows 7, SQL Server, VMware, EMC, SAN storage, Cloud as a service, Broadworks, Polycomm, BlackBerry, Apple iOS, information security, wireless technologies, system networking, etc.
- Understanding and utilization of ITIL, project management (PMI), Agile, Configuration and Change controls
- Capability in providing technical engineering practices recommendations, advice, and enhancements from integration engagements of prior successful systems integrations
- Exceptional writing/verbal/interpersonal negotiation and communication skills
- VMware server and VDI understanding/experience
- Knowledge of PKI
- MS Windows 2003 Terminal Server
- MS Windows 2008R2 Server
- Cisco UCS
- Broadworks
- Polycomm
- BlackBerry, iOS, Android OS
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT architecture and design
- Professional Certifications: CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or equivalent certifications preferred
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with EA frameworks, including Zachman and TOGAF
- Experience with Windows Desktop applications, remote access, MS Windows 7, SQL Server, VMware, EMC, SAN storage, Cloud as a service, Broadworks, Polycomm, BlackBerry, Apple iOS, information security, wireless technologies, system networking, etc.
- Experience with ITIL, project management (PMI), Agile, Configuration and Change controls
- Experience with Windows 2003 Terminal Server, Windows 2008R2 Server, Cisco UCS, Broadworks, Polycomm, BlackBerry, iOS, Android OS, PKI, etc.
- Experience with VMware server and VDI

$126,186.67 - $171,253.34 annually
