Enterprise Architect
About the role
The IT capability at Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is integral to our strategy to enhance business performance through technology and to transform our operations. Our Enterprise Architect works closely with Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to design, implement, and scale innovative solutions that drive organizational change.
Responsibilities
- Partner with IT leaders, solution delivery, product teams, and data teams to recommend and implement technology solutions for business transformation.
- Lead the technical solutioning process to create detailed blueprints for technology solutions aligned with KES’s IT vision and strategy.
- Leverage expertise in multiple technical domains to guide the design and implementation of comprehensive solutions.
- Facilitate architecture review boards to align architecture strategies across KES’s organizations and communicate the value of proposed solutions to business leaders.
- Experiment with new solutions to address emerging challenges within the organization and execute on strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance to model the economic impact of proposed solutions and determine their value proposition.
Requirements
- Experience with modern cloud-based platforms and tools such as AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, and SaaS vendors.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, AI concepts, and cloud technology/services.
- Proven experience in communicating technology details and concepts to various stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with customers to understand business and operational models and develop technical architecture or process solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience supporting discrete engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with enterprise architecture platforms like HOPEX, BizzDesign, and LeanIX.
- Understanding of the fundamental architecture of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
- Technical experience with serverless cloud technology tools and services such as S3, Blobs, SaaS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), engineering tools (CAD), and planning platforms.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices.
- Knowledge of analytical concepts including data lakes, graph database technology, data warehousing.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate, AKS.
- Experience with DevOps methodologies, processes, and tools (CI/CD, GitHub, Azure DevOps).

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Specific amounts are determined by available market data and may vary based on factors such as geographic location and individual performance.
Schedule
The Enterprise Architect role requires occasional travel as needed to meet with clients and partners.
