Responsibilities
- Function as an Enterprise Architect and a SME for servers, applications & databases hosted on AWS GovCloud and accessed using DHA network backbone.
- Prepare contract deliverables such as software and hardware inventories, 1 /3 /5 - year product roadmaps, Key Performance Indicator = KPI ) reports, data flow diagrams, network diagrams and solution design documentation.
- Represent architecture interests during all program and customer meetings and briefings.
- Prepare plans for COTS EOL transition to new versions of existing products or new products at least 6 months in advance of the product EOL.
- Identify alternatives and provide options for DHA with risks and tradeoffs.
- Review change requests and project design documents for architectural impact.
- Propose and enforce program standards regarding required and recommended cloud-native solutions; compute capacity; networking; common infrastructure components such as Java, Apache, IIS, Tomcat; Public Key Infrastructure = PKI); Ports, Protocols, and Services Management = PPSM); Domain Name System = DNS); Software Development Life Cycle = SDLC); and operating system configurations and services.
- Develop and communicate architectural vision with all stakeholders, technical staff, project and program managers, government customers, users, sponsors, and supply chain vendors.
- Collaborate with Information System Security Officer = I SSO) on ongoing Risk Management Framework = RMF) compliance activities such as Authority to Operate = ATO), Security Technical Implementation Guide = STIG), vulnerability assessment remediation, and Plan of Action and Milestones = POA& M)
- Develop and maintain a COTS and custom-built software road map to track current software versions (to include all OS, database and application components) and their expiration dates, to identify a target version upgrade and estimated date of completion, to support the conduct of all sustainment and enhancement engineering activities.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience that includes software, systems, or enterprise architecture.
- 10 years of experience with a majority of relevant software technologies: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Apache and IIS web servers, Java application servers, or Oracle COTS products such as E-Business Suite, Business Intelligence, WebLogic, and databases.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, and information systems).
- The Applicant may substitute 15 years of experience for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with Cloud Computing management environments, system administrators, network teams, and service desks, to coordinate DHA ECS AWS changes, if preferred.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud hosting infrastructure.
- US citizenship.
- Ability to obtain ADP I or II clearance or equivalent.
- CompTIA Security+ certification within 3 months of hire.
Pay
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $123,825 to $165,100. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
