Enterprise Applications Analyst

About the role
As an Enterprise Applications Analyst reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, you will be a trusted technical specialist responsible for ensuring the security, compliance, and operational integrity of iManage's enterprise business applications and SaaS ecosystem. Your work directly impacts application governance, user productivity, and security posture across the organization. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to data integrity. You will partner with internal stakeholders, IT teams, and business users to maintain visibility into application health, user activity, compliance requirements, and operational processes. Your contributions support iManage's IT Operations Charter by advancing organizational maturity across Enterprise Systems and building the operational foundation for scalable application governance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct application audits and user activity analysis across the enterprise SaaS portfolio to assess compliance, identify risks, and validate proper system usage.
- Perform comprehensive access permission reviews and access certifications, ensuring principle of least privilege and timely deprovisioning of user accounts.
- Evaluate new and existing applications for alignment with security standards, business requirements, and architectural principles before procurement or renewal decisions.
- Maintain detailed application documentation including user access matrices, process flows, integration dependencies, and compliance mappings.
- Support SaaS management and identity governance platforms (BetterCloud, Entra ID, and similar tools) to maintain accurate application inventories and user entitlements.
- Research and recommend improvements to application governance processes, controls, and workflows that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Monitor and report on application health metrics, including user inactivity, license utilization, security findings, and cost anomalies.
- Manage and triage application-related support tickets, coordinating with stakeholders, and documenting resolutions for future reference.
- Assist with application rationalization initiatives by analyzing usage data, identifying overlapping functionality, and supporting consolidation recommendations.
- Prepare audit-ready reports and compliance documentation for internal governance reviews and external regulatory assessments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Support identity and access management governance, including user provisioning/deprovisioning workflows and role-based access control validation.
- Support application change management initiatives by coordinating with global IT and user teams, documenting system changes, assessing impact on access controls, and ensuring proper communication and testing protocols are followed.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and provide rotational off-hours support as needed to assist with application deployments, user issue resolution, and operational continuity across global time zones.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in application management, systems administration, access management, or IT auditing.
- Demonstrated expertise in identity and access management concepts, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access control frameworks.
- Experience with SaaS management platforms such as BetterCloud, Zylo, Okta, or similar solutions for application visibility and governance.
- Working knowledge of cloud identity platforms (Entra ID, Okta) and SSO/SAML concepts.
- Strong experience with ticketing systems and service management processes (IT Service Management, ITIL fundamentals a plus).
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools to conduct user activity reviews, access audits, and reporting.
- Experience conducting or supporting access reviews, user provisioning audits, or compliance assessments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain detailed documentation, and meet audit timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or anomalies in complex datasets.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements is strongly preferred.

Pay
The overall US annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $95,000 per year. Individual compensation for each candidate depends on factors such as qualifications, experience, and candidate location. This range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, commission, or benefits.
