Enterprise Account Executive

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and generate new business opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical research organizations
- Own and manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solutioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound efforts, networking, and industry engagement
- Establish and cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives
- Understand client challenges and position Xogene’s offerings as tailored, value-driven solutions
- Partner with marketing and leadership to refine go-to-market strategies and messaging
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, delivery, client success) to ensure smooth handoff post-sale
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting of sales activities
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform sales strategy
- Represent Xogene at industry conferences and events to build brand awareness and generate leads
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in direct sales or business development within software, cloud, or SaaS environments
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in net-new business acquisition
- Experience selling into mid-market and enterprise pharmaceutical and biotech organizations is strongly preferred
- Strong ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership
- Demonstrated success managing complex, consultative sales cycles
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000, depending on experience, skills, and demonstrated track record in enterprise SaaS sales. Competitive variable compensation based on experience and performance is also available for this role.
