About the role

This position provides professional level knowledge, advice, and coaching to students and prospective students regarding the institutional student admissions process for online bachelors, masters, doctoral and certificate programs. It involves interpreting rules, regulations, procedures and policies to students and outside agencies, answering questions in person, via email, faxes and over the telephone regarding program information, admissions requirements and process. It also involves disseminating information to prospective students and other interested persons regarding programs, enrollment requirements, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Answers questions in person, via email, faxes and over the telephone regarding program information, admissions requirements and process.
  • Disseminates information to prospective students and other interested persons regarding programs, enrollment requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Makes decisions requiring initiative and judgment in responding to individual student needs; uses discretion in finding solutions, and works independently on significant matters.
  • Tracks student progress in recruitment pipeline and monitors students’ academic information and curricula.
  • Maintains and records admission information and any communication to student into database.
  • Oversees the application process from receipt of application to admitted.
  • Reviews student transcripts for eligibility to online programs.
  • Creates and executes communication plan to prospective students; sends correspondence.
  • Affords assistance in the planning of recruitment events.
  • Composes, prepares, proofreads email communication, reports, and other complex documents; files correspondence and other reports; acts as custodian of university documents and records.
  • Works closely with the department administrative staff to analyze enrollment trends and assigned recruitment and retention goals.
  • Develops and executes an email cultivation strategy designed to re-engage leads that have fallen to inactive statuses.
  • Maintains a minimum standard database audit of scores.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by understanding student needs, analyzing customer feedback and implementing appropriate improvement initiatives.
  • Assists with the coordination and occasional supervision of the recruitment unit, including oversight of assigned staff when requested by the center supervisor.
  • Serves as liaison to several University departments or administrative areas.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality on all of the sensitive information this position is privy to.
  • Works in collaboration with department administrative staff, program directors, academic advisors, and other campus officials.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education: Bache l o r’s deg r e e fr o m f ou r -year co ll eg e o r un i ve r s ity. and Experience: One year of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to work well in a fast paced environment and possess excellent acumen.

Qualifications

  • Two to three year’s sales experience (in an outbound calling environment preferred).
  • General knowledge of higher education and/or college admissions and recruitment preferred.
  • Familiarity with student records and customer communications systems such as Banner, CRM systems and Perspective Content.
  • Experience in a similar role in a higher education setting.

Pay

$40,000 Annually

Schedule

40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm. Flexibility is required on evenings and weekends.
