The ENROLLMENT COORDINATOR role supports the organization's healthcare delivery by managing carrier enrollment tasks for medical staff across multiple insurance and health plans. This position works closely with Revenue Cycle Analysts and billing specialists to ensure providers are properly enrolled with commercial payers, which is critical for maintaining smooth billing and revenue functions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with commercial payers to enroll providers in insurance plans.
- Assist providers in completing enrollment applications.
- Serve as liaison between health plans and the organization to resolve enrollment inquiries.
- Update provider and payer credentialing information in Athena.
- Understand provider billing processes related to commercial payers.
- Contribute to developing internal enrollment procedures.
- Provide regular status updates to Revenue Cycle Team and Operations Leaders on enrollment progress.
- Partner with Provider Services, Revenue Cycle Management, and Field Operations teams.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years medical credentialing experience.
- Experience handling personal information with patient confidentiality.
- Preferred: 2 years experience with Athena electronic medical record software.
- Preferred: Prior credentialing and database experience.
Pay
Pay range: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, varying by geographic location, experience, and skill level.
