Enrollment Assistant - Admissions
About the role
The Enrollment Assistant - Admissions is a part-time position responsible for greeting visitors and providing general assistance to students and parents inquiring about admissions and registration. This includes assisting students with completing the admissions application, reviewing application status, and answering general registration inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Process applications for new and former students.
- Advise students on the admissions process by providing current information using exemplary customer service through phone, email, Banners system, and in person.
- Respond to all inquiries with 24 hours.
- Professionally greet all visitors and provide general assistance information to students inquiring about admissions and registration.
- Answer and make telephone calls.
- Complete travel forms.
- Retrieve and distribute mail.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Admissions Coordinator/Transfer Analyst.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential.
- Dependability and the ability to maintain confidentiality in data collection are necessary.
- A strong attention to detail is essential.
Qualifications
- Prior office experience in a higher education setting is preferred.
- Specific knowledge or experience in postsecondary educational assistance processes such as financial aid, registration, and admissions is preferred.
