Join Riverview Unit, a specialist inpatient mental health service for adults aged 18 years and over, located within Cumberland Hospital—NSW's largest and Australia's oldest mental health facility. Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with individual care plans and your scope of practice.
• Monitor, assess and report changes in consumers' physical and mental health, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Support consumers with activities of daily living, therapeutic engagement and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, person-centred mental health care, including supporting consumers with complex mental health presentations.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse Division 2 registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Selection Criteria

• Relevant and recent clinical experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership.
• Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and demonstrated ability to utilise information technology within a variety of applications and willingness to undertake training.

Pay

$75,011.91 - $81,508.14 per annum / $37.83 - $41.10 per hour

Schedule

Permanent Full & Part Time roles available, up to 38 hours per week.

To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
