Enrichment Teacher - English Language Learner

Duties

• Work closely with the Regional Director of Community Outreach to implement academic enrichment programs for elementary school students.
• Develop relevant lessons.
• Ensure academic and social development of scholars.
• Identify the needs and create original instructional plans.
• Monitor scholars' progress and make adjustments.
• Create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Provide mentorship to volunteers.
• Supervise scholars in in-person day-to-day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips.

Qualifications

• At least three years of related experience.
• A teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• A high school graduate, 18 years of age, and at least six months experience working with youth.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and technological skills.
• Strong relationship building, mentoring, communication, and leadership skills.
• A commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and service to diverse populations.
