About the Role
The Enrichment Specialist designs and leads engaging enrichment programming within YMCA Summer Camp Programs and related youth programs. Specialists may focus on Academic Support (including Math and Literacy), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), Dance, Arts, Health & Wellness, Sports & Recreation, or other specialty areas. The role involves developing and implementing high-quality, age-appropriate lessons aligned with YMCA curriculum guidelines and Youth Development Principles, fostering student engagement, confidence, creativity, and personal growth in a safe and inclusive environment. Programs primarily serve elementary and/or middle school youth.
Summer Camp Program dates: June 8, 2026 – August 14, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging lessons in assigned specialty area(s).
- Supervise youth during program time, transitions, and activities.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with Camp Coordinators and staff to ensure program quality.
- Support family engagement events, showcases, and community activities.
- Deliver high-quality, structured enrichment sessions that promote skill development, creativity, and confidence.
- Incorporate project-based learning, performance-based learning, or academic intervention strategies as appropriate.
- Align programming with YMCA curriculum guidelines and Youth Development Principles.
- Prepare students for showcases, performances, family engagement events, or academic milestones when applicable.
- Collaborate with Site Coordinators and program staff to ensure cohesive programming.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete a background screening, including criminal and employment verification. Some positions may also require a credit check.

Pay
The Enrichment Specialist position offers a compensation range of $24.00 – $33.00 per hour. This rate is based on salary benchmarking for similar roles and is aligned with grant fund approvals and requirements for the position.
