Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Shift: Night shift
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Employment options: Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN
Sign-on bonus: $5,000 for eligible full-time hires
About the Role
Twelve-hour shifts provide the opportunity to enjoy more days away from work while continuing to deliver consistent, high-quality care to your patients. As an LPN at NHC HealthCare Oakwood, you will be an essential member of the clinical care team. You will provide compassionate, individualized nursing care while supporting each patient's comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life. This is more than simply working a shift—it is an opportunity to build relationships, support families, and make a positive difference through every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to assess patients, plan and implement individualized care, and evaluate outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established clinical standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and report meaningful changes to the appropriate members of the care team.
- Organize workflows and prioritize patient needs to support safe, efficient, and attentive care.
- Communicate compassionately and professionally with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants and other members of the care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Help create a positive, respectful, and family-oriented environment for patients and fellow partners.
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee LPN license
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- A commitment to compassionate, high-quality senior care
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
