English Teacher
About the role
The ideal candidate will be certified or certifiable at the 7-12 level and have experience teaching English in a high school setting. They will be a team player who complements our Pre-K-12 faculty team.
Responsibilities
- Teach English to students in grades 7-12
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Valid Maine Teaching Certificate or Conditional Certification
- Experience teaching English in a high school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- At least one year of teaching experience preferred

- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
