About the role

Huntington Learning Center is now hiring part-time English tutors from Plainfield and surrounding areas. We seek individuals who are caring, qualified, and committed to the success of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students on an individual or small group basis.
• Work after school and on weekends during the school year, and more during the summer.
• Tutor students in ACT preparation, Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Vocabulary, Science, High School Entrance Exam preparation, and more.
• Work one-on-one with high school juniors and seniors preparing them for the ACT/SAT English.
• Tutor middle and high school students struggling in English and Reading.
• Build rapport with students and possess sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• A 4-year degree is required.
• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or subject-related fields.
• Ability to build rapport with students.
• Sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects.
• A bachelor's degree in any field is required.
