About the Role
Fay School seeks a dynamic, flexible, and creative English Teacher who understands how to engage and inspire elementary and middle school students. Outside the classroom, the English teacher serves as an advisor to a small group of students, coaches or assists in afternoon programs, and may participate in the residential life program. This is a full-time, 10-month, in-person position eligible for benefits. Campus housing may be available.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in English, English teaching, education, or a related field is required.
- A master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with previous English teaching experience.

Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons to students in grades 5-7.
- Effectively using technology to enhance instruction and learning.
- Assessing student performance and providing feedback that supports growth and development.
- Conducting parent conferences and communicating effectively with parents and families.
- Collaborating with colleagues in grade-level team meetings and department meetings.
- Serving as an advisor and primary point of contact for parents and families.
- Engaging in two trimesters of afternoon duties as assigned.
- Actively supporting and promoting a school culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Pay
The annual salary is determined by years of teaching experience and ranges from $65,000 to $103,000.
