English / Spanish Language Interpreters - Texas

Remote Spanish Interpreter opportunities available for skilled Bilingual Call Center Interpreters to work from home interpreting high-volume inbound calls.

About the role

• Work from home (must reside in the United States)
• Part-time position with a minimum of 25 hours per week
• Long-term contract at $15 an hour
• 3 weeks of paid training (training hours: 5am–12:30pm Pacific Standard Time)
• Video interpreting may occur

Responsibilities

• Handle real-time live calls on demand in a quiet home office
• Interpret Spanish/English conversations for industries including healthcare, government, police services, insurance, financial, and travel & hospitality
• Interpret simple, complex, or technical conversations
• Participate in video calls as a mandatory part of interpreting

Requirements

• Fully fluent in both Spanish and English
• Able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
• Manual dexterity to type or write notes
• Comfortable being on camera

Qualifications

• Previous experience not required
• Education or work experience in teaching or translation considered an asset

Remote Technical Requirements

• Personal device such as a tablet, laptop, or desktop
• Private high-speed internet connection for work-related electronic communication
• Dry erase marker board and paper shredder
• A dedicated private and quiet workspace within your home
