About the role
Applicants must hold appropriate MN teaching licensure. Rate of pay: $255.81 - 266.01 per day depending on total number of days, benefits including ESST hours upon qualifying.
Responsibilities
- Teach English to students in grades 6-8
- Adhere to state and district curriculum standards
- Develop lesson plans and materials
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
- Maintain classroom discipline and safety
Requirements
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Valid Minnesota teaching license
- Experience teaching English in middle school
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Passion for education and working with young people
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational software
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
