This recruitment is to establish an eligibility list that will be used to fill current and future vacancies for the English Language Development Assistant - Bilingual position up to one year.
Responsibilities
- Work with children in an organized setting
- Translate materials between English and Pashto
- Interpret in English and Pashto
Requirements
- Any combination equivalent to some experience working with children in an organized setting
- Experience translating materials and interpreting in English and Pashto

Located in east San Diego County, the district is 66.3 square miles in size and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools, and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas.
