About the role
A full-time 10-month position with benefits starting salaries: Step 1BA - $ 73,699 and Step 1MA - $81,804.
Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts to Grades 6-12 students.
- Maintain a positive learning environment.
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
- Apply effective teaching methods in the subject specialty.
- Problem-solve and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
Requirements
- Valid NJDOE English Teacher certification or equivalent NJDOE Instructional certification in the subject area.
- Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.
- Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70).

- Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.

Pay
Starting salaries: Step 1BA - $ 73,699 and Step 1MA - $81,804.
Schedule
Terms of tenure track positions per collective bargaining agreement.
