About the role
The ELA Teacher plays a key role in enriching the academic lives of students at RISE Academy. This position involves designing and implementing high-quality English Language Arts curricula aligned with Massachusetts and Common Core standards, fostering student motivation, and building supportive relationships with staff and students.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive, motivating force in the classroom daily to encourage student engagement and learning.
- Design, implement, and collaborate on shared curricula using research-based strategies to help students master academic standards.
- Set class-wide and individual goals, providing specific, actionable feedback to students on their progress.
- Build supportive relationships with teachers, associate teachers, and staff, offering feedback to develop associate teachers.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by administration.
Requirements
- Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the appropriate area.
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Proficiency in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Prior experience teaching English (preferred).

Pay
$61,788 – $94,614 per year.
