English into Thai Linguist (Legal & Customer Support Specialist - US/Canada Based)

About the role

We are looking for several English into Thai linguists to join our growing team for a global music-streaming client whose services include music, podcasts, and other entertainment content. Linguists will take ownership of incoming work on this account and actively contribute to the success of the program.

Responsibilities

• Translate and review content from English into Thai, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to the target audience
• Content types: Legal and Customer Support
• Work with the Phrase CAT tool (workflow based on Open Offers)

Requirements

• Experience translating and reviewing content in the specified subject matter (Legal and Customer Support)
• Proficient in all areas of expertise: Legal and Customer Support
• Well-versed in various translation and terminology tools
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Native fluency in the target language (Thai)
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience
• Able to follow instructions, e.g., character restrictions, style guides, etc.
• Able to communicate effectively the rationale behind translation decisions
• Able to both translate and review
• Experience working in a multi-vendor scenario is a plus

• This opportunity is available only to US or Canada-based linguists; candidates not based in the US or Canada cannot be considered at this time.
• The primary task type is copy editing for Customer Service and Legal components, but the scope may expand to include other task types.
• Kindly provide rates for all task types during negotiations.
