We deliver secure, high-quality language support in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies. We are seeking Thai Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Thai is a priority Southeast Asian language frequently needed for asylum, refugee, and immigration interviews.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time Thai ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
- Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
- Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
- Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
- Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Thai and English.
- 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred).
- Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
- Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
