English Adjunct

Responsibilities

To provide online or traditional (on-campus) delivery instruction on either the Chester or Midlothian campus of the college.

Courses offered in the discipline include Advanced Composition, College Composition I & II, Creative Writing I, Children’s Literature, Survey of American Literature I & II, Survey of English Literature I & II, and Survey of World Literature I & II.

Special Assignments

• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Qualifications

Minimum of a master’s degree in the discipline or master’s degree in related field with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in English.

Additional Considerations

• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
• Ability to use instructional technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
