About the Peebles Site

Opened in 1954 for rocket engine testing, Peebles has evolved into a critical part of GE Aerospace’s engine journey, serving as the final stop before engines go on the wing of an airplane. Located in Adams County, Ohio, our 7,000-acre campus includes 450,000 square feet across 69 structures and supports production operations, maintenance, repair and overhaul, production test, development test, and defense & systems. Responsibilities

• Assist in engine dis-assembly, repair, prep for test, and de-prep following approved instructions and practices.
• Assist in installing engines in the test stand and setup for test, including special or slave systems.
• Assist in the operation of the current family of engines, following approved work requests, and ensuring the engine is operated within published limits.
• Maintain good communications with support organizations and the team.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
• 1+ year of experience in a mechanical discipline.
• Ability to use hand tools, calibrated tooling, and precision measurement instruments.
• Shift flexibility and availability for all available shifts (shifts are subject to change according to business needs).
• Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining due to high-risk or hazardous operations and potential extended work hours.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to perform in a self-directed team environment.
• Knowledge of borescope, preliminary review, designated inspector, shipping/receiving, engine test site operation, basic I/U skills, ADS system, and equipment operation (e.g., fork truck, transporter & tug).
• Leadership qualities: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative, humble, transparent, focused, analytical-minded, and problem solver.

Pay

$36.29/hr with a 5% differential for 2nd shift or 10% differential for Weekend Shifts.

Schedule

• 4 x 10 1st shift: Tuesday - Friday, 5am-3:30pm
• 3 x 12 1st shift: Saturday - Monday, 3am-3:30pm
• 4 x 10 2nd shift: Tuesday - Friday, 3pm-1:30am
• 3 x 12 2nd shift: Saturday - Monday, 3pm-3:30am
