Engineering Test Technician

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position supports the day-to-day operation and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and new product introduction for the printed circuit board business unit (ETI).

Responsibilities

• Interface with associates and team members to resolve problems with manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Provide functional test training and maintain test procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to secure new business, offering technical support as needed.
• Set up, operate, and repair manufacturing equipment, including programmable machines for board assembly.
• Support complex project-based Electronic Control Box Builds.
• Manage and support daily production tasks, including:
  • Circuit board manufacturing
  • Work cell assembly of control panels
  • Setup of special project panel assemblies
  • Warranty troubleshooting and repair
  • Developing systems to optimize machine setups and changeovers
  • Troubleshooting test failures and repairing defects
  • Analyzing in-process defects
• Read, interpret, and use schematics for failure analysis.
• Define and implement continuous improvement projects related to manufacturing.
• Support the development of RFQs, including labor and new process standards.
• Maintain compliance with current ISO standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Support and adhere to the Quality Management System.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Electronics or a similar field.
• 5 years of technician experience.

Pay

$23.22 to $26.88 per hour.
