Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Life cycle management of core product lines through maintenance, enhancement, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Implement Engineering Changes (ECs) related to the telescopic and fixed seating product lines.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of design documentation, drawings, BOM’s, test data, technical manuals, and other related technical product documentation.
  • Support product and labor cost reduction initiatives in achieving annual cost reduction goals.
  • Support Cause and Corrective Action implementations for product-related quality issues.
  • Collaborate with Procurement team and vendor base to resolve product and material sourcing issues.
  • Work with the Manufacturing team to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development of product line enhancements/new product line extensions from concept through production release.
  • Assist in the design, setup, and performance of product testing.
  • Document product test procedures and results.
  • Support broader team in problem solving, planning, strategy, etc.

  • Familiarity with metal forming/joining, casting, machining, and molding/extruding plastics processes.
  • Design and manufacturing knowledge of wood components and soft goods is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with common shop tools and building and testing prototypes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • History of continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve processes.
  • Can readily adapt to changing scope and priorities.

Education/Experience/Additional Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Drafting, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in 3D modeling.
  • Experience using rapid prototyping processes and product testing.
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Occasional, short duration travel is required.
