About the role
We are seeking a skilled Engineer Technician - Production to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery while supporting engineering and process improvement activities. Ensures product quality, equipment reliability, and safe operation in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate machines to meet production requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Support engineers with process improvements, tooling adjustments, and data collection.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical education preferred.
- 3 years’ hands-on mechanical experience; automated machinery/manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) preferred.
- Strong sense of accountability with ability to take ownership of machine performance, product quality, and adherence to safety and production standards.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
- Must possess a Valid US driver’s license.
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
- This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
- The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.

Schedule
4 – 10 hour shifts with overtime as needed. Days and nights available
