Engineering Technician - Mechanical

Responsibilities

  • Aid engineers in the development and testing of new products, components, and materials.
  • Assist in improving and updating existing products and components.
  • Perform tests in the lab, including Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, and Firmware.
  • Write detailed technical test reports.
  • Construct models and prototypes.
  • Prepare testing setups, build test fixtures as needed, and perform tests according to procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze test data, and prepare test reports.
  • Contribute to the development or recommendation of improved or new testing procedures.
  • Engage in quality control activities involving incoming parts, ensuring compliance with company or customer specifications.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintain departmental Lean 5S standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, Associates Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a lab environment preferred, any previous technical experience is a plus.
  • Experience operating model shop equipment and hand tools preferred.
  • Technical writing ability required.
  • Machining and brazing experience a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
