About the role
Tessera is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Technician II – Quality Control Specialist to support our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document daily inspections utilizing the inspection program and/or forms, as applicable to ensure contract quality specifications are met.
- Generate reports that identify quality levels, trends, training needs, and other qualitative data necessary to ensure that contract requirements are being met.
- Operate computer software applications to perform data entry, analysis, and reporting tasks efficiently.
- Prepare and submit all required reports to Quality Control Supervisor and Division Leadership at the required frequency.
- Ensure all reports are clear, concise, and comprehensive.
- Update all pertinent quality control folders on SharePoint at the required frequency for both internal (Quality Control) and external (Division/Government) locations.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships in any interactions with customers, employees and management while performing duties.
- Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
- Continuously review contracts for standards and specification of work requirements or for any changes or modification to the contract.
- Conduct inspections of work environment to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Drive to local and off-site contract locations to perform inspections independently and part of a team as required.
- Adhere to ISO Processes and Standards and ensure all SOPs and ISO processes are meeting contractual guidelines.
- Ability to perform ISO Audits for both divisional and corporate level processes.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality Control/Safety or Janitorial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
- The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking.
- Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
