About the Role

Join our dynamic team as an Engineering Technician II in our Distribution department. This role is an integral part of our project teams, ensuring compliance with Electrical Distribution System standards and regulations. You will utilize software like WMS, Pole Foreman, and AutoCAD for design preparation and review of project packages. Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of electrical distribution system design engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with client, industry, and regulatory standards for existing distribution system components.
  • Support the Engineering Manager by handling project assignments and managing project performance and customer relationships.
  • Identify and resolve problems in project designs.
  • Utilize software such as Distribution Design Studio, Pole Foreman, Design Manager, WMS, and/or AutoCAD for preparing project design packages.
  • Review completed designs to ensure compliance with client, industry, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure design products meet quality and consistency expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts.
  • Maintain productivity in a changing environment.
  • Identify and promote training opportunities.

Requirements

  • AA/AS Degree or 2 years of formal post-high school specialized trade (technical school/certifications) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required to qualify for an Engineer title; candidates without a bachelor's degree can be considered for a Technician-level role based on experience.
  • 1-3+ years' experience in Utility Distribution design using Design Manager, Pole Foreman, AutoCAD, or similar software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and client care.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent document management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
