Engineering Technician II (2nd Shift)

About the role

This is a hands-on Engineering Technician position on the 2nd shift, primarily responsible for assisting in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing processes for the manufacturing of night vision systems.

The role includes optimization of manufacturing processes, implementation of cost reduction opportunities, and review/disposition of night vision systems and components.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will have proficiency in the use of hand and machine tools, precision gauges, test instruments, and process equipment.

The individual can expect to spend >70% of their time engaging directly with the factory teams on the shop floor and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A 2-year associate's degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent relatable experience is required
• 2+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical abilities and troubleshooting techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of performing process engineering tasks proportionate to their experience
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must have the ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to support the organizational culture and build morale
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
• Must be able to comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, Company Policies, and Procedures
• Ability to work 2nd shift

Preferred Skills

• Experience with review/inspection and troubleshooting of electronics assemblies
• Experience in the following areas is a plus: Night Vision Goggles, Thermal Imagery Equipment, Optics, Conformance Testing to Mil-Stds
